Lot DL 12500

DL 12500

This is the part of the Big Field with some of our best soils and hay crops. We harvested over 2 tons/acre of a beautiful grass/clover hay in 2008 and no commercial fertilizer was used on our whole place since 1999! The regrowth is probably another 1 ton/acre and is available for grazing next spring.

The Lot is sheltered to the North by a mixed forest of Spruce, Pine, Fir, Birch, Aspen and Cottonwood and a dug out for watering. We call this forest Deer Bush, because that’s where they hang out. You feel at ease here and enjoy a sweeping view of Black Creek Valley and the snow capped mountains of Wells Gray Park in the back ground.

To the south another forested area with really productive soil and lots of potential for grazing under cover has some springs and a pond.

Access to this Lot -if bought separate-  is from Day Road  by a registered easement.
