Lot DL 4905

DL 4905

We call these 8 fields Long Acres. Each field is 800m long and on average 100m wide, all separated by wind rows of varying width between 15 and 30m. All the wind rows are protected on both sides from grazing by an electric fence which allows easy portioning of every day grazing according to the size of the group with a temporary fence.

Aspen, Saskatoon, Elderberry, Spruce, Cottonwood, Roses, Soapberry, Birch and lots of other native plants grow in these windrows, creating habitat for insects, birds and small mammals. The importance of these protected areas for biodiversity is acknowledged in the 2008 Guide for BC Farmers and Ranchers: Planning for Biodiversity.

Several springs and ponds add to the beauty of this lot. In some areas it is higher in elevation than DL 860, so you have a similar breathtaking view to snow capped mountains in serene privacy.

Access to this lot is from the North from Day Road by a registered easement.
