For us there is more to custom grazing than just putting your cows on our pastures!

We do custom grazing since 1995 and have good grass for 250 cow/calf pairs or 400 yearlings.
The ranch is divided into over 50 permanent pastures from 30 acres up to 120 acres with an electric fence system. Alley ways connect to the well designed handling system (Temple Grandin) and loading facilities for trailers and cattle liners.
A certified scale is integrated in the system to allow easy control of the monthly gain or to sell directly from our place.
Your animals will be trained to electric fence in our secure training area.

We use Management Intensive Grazing and subdivide the pastures according to the grass growth with temporary electric fence, to give your animals access to fresh pasture every day. This ensures a high level of nutrition and good weight gains.
All our pastures are connected to a piped water system providing plenty of clean water.
We move the minerals daily with the water troughs.
An additional advantage of our daily contact on foot or ATV with the cattle is a relaxed herd used to humans.

Winter Feeding:

We can also take care of your animals year round. We graze stock piled forage as long as possible and as early as possible after snow melt. This in combination with low stress animal handling keeps your cattle healthy.
When the snow is too deep or too crusty and stored forage is needed, we place or unroll bales in the pasture. This is better for the health of the animal in comparison to feeding in confinement. The manure adds organic matter and nutrients to the soil without additional labour-, equipment- and fuel costs.
Minerals (Kelp and Redmond Rocksalt) are fed to the animals year round which bring in micronutrients to replenish the nutrients removed.
